The simultaneous timing of the various challenges as well as the dimensions and tempo of change call for foresight\, new ways of looking at things\, and fresh approaches. \nAnd this is precisely the aim of FINANZ’23\, which will take place on 3 and 4 May 2023 in Zurich Oerlikon. At the 24th staging of Switzerland’s largest financial fair\, renowned experts from many different disciplines will provide their insights into how the change of era can be shaped and exploited – with regard to the new interest rate world\, our approach to the environment\, and the new economic and regulatory parameters. \nAt times of great upheaval\, orientation is more needed than ever. But this requires more than just signposts. Orientation can also emerge through personal encounters and one-to-one exchanges of ideas. And it is precisely this kind of compact platform for opinion-forming that the traditional financial fair for professional investors offers once again this year – but now in the spring rather than at the start of the year. Among Conway’s many gifts to the world was his famous “Game of Life” theory popularized in a 1970 article in Scientific American. \nDue to great success Kate Vass Galerie is glad to announce that the show ‘The Game of Life – Emergence in Generative Art’ has been extended until the end of April 2021. You can dive into the exhibition and bet on some of the NFT artworks on SuperRare. \nComplex worlds from simple rules\nThe game uses four simple rules to create a seemingly infinite amount of complex behavior and visual patterns. Conway’s work on cellular automata along with others like Stephen Wolfram has been inspirational for many of this generation’s most talented Generative Artists. This exhibition explores how complex visual systems can emerge from relatively simple algorithms to create art than can reframe the way we see the world. \nIncluded in this show are four generative artists: Jared S Tarbell\, Alexander Reben\, Kjetil Golid\, and Manolo Gamboa Naon.
