    About the Crypto Valley Journal

The Crypto Valley Journal (CVJ.CH) is a Swiss specialist news outlet for Bitcoin, blockchain and digital assets. Since 2018, we have reported from Zug, the geographic and regulatory centre of the Swiss Crypto Valley. Our reporting appears in German at cvj.ch and in English translation at cryptovalleyjournal.com.

    What we do

We provide context on what is actually relevant in the market for digital assets. Our work centres on four topic areas: Swiss regulation around FINMA, DLT law and tokenisation; institutional adoption by banks, asset managers and ETF issuers; market infrastructure and on-chain data; and international developments with a direct link to Switzerland as a financial centre.

In doing so, we deliberately avoid price forecasts, trading signals and marketing language. Instead, we deliver sober context based on publicly verifiable sources. In addition, we visibly separate news, analyses and sponsored content from one another.

Who is behind the Crypto Valley Journal

The publisher of the Crypto Valley Journal is CV Publishing AG, with its registered office at Gotthardstrasse 26 in 6300 Zug. The company was founded on 13 December 2018, is recorded in the Commercial Register of the Canton of Zug under CH-170.3.043.125-3 and holds the UID CHE-313.212.458.

Our location in Zug is no coincidence. Since 2013, central players of the global blockchain industry have established themselves in the Crypto Valley, including the Ethereum Foundation, regulated crypto banks and a large share of Swiss DLT infrastructure. From this physical proximity follows our ambition to describe developments first-hand and from a Swiss perspective.

    How we work

Our reporting follows a standardised process. For each story, we research primarily in Tier 1 sources, which include Bloomberg, Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times as well as official documents from regulatory authorities such as FINMA, SEC, ESMA and BaFin. Figures, quotes and regulatory statements are checked against at least one independent source before publication.

In addition, we strictly separate editorial content from commercial content. Sponsored articles and partner content are labelled as such and do not influence the selection or tone of our editorial reporting. Corrections are disclosed transparently.

Research and wording are partly AI-assisted, while the editorial team is responsible for the content (details at AI Transparency).

    Further information

Our standards and legal information are transparently accessible:
    • Editorial Guidelines – source policy, separation of editorial and advertising, handling of conflicts of interest
    • Corrections – how we label and correct errors
    • Ownership and Funding – shareholders, revenue sources, holdings
    • AI Transparency – use of generative AI in the editorial process
    • Imprint – complete legal information per Swiss law
