With two new bitcoin ETPs from Fidelity, investors can now trade 133 crypto ETPs on Switzerland's leading regulated exchange for traditional investment products backed by cryptocurrency.
US financial services provider Fidelity is launching two new ETPs on the SIX Swiss Exchange. With Fidelity's Bitcoin ETP in US dollars and Swiss francs, investors benefit from a growing offering in the crypto segment of SIX Swiss Exchange. Fidelity brings the number of crypto ETP issuers to 10, offering a total of 133 ETPs. ETPs and structured products combined, investors have a total of 208 products to choose from to invest in 18 cryptocurrencies.
Secure and convenient access to Bitcoin
Fidelity International, a privately held company with a 50-year heritage, provides investment solutions and services and retirement expertise. The company operates in more than 25 countries and has total assets of USD 812.8 billion. In total, Fidelity International invests USD 610.5 billion on behalf of its clients. Fidelity is the second new crypto ETP issuer on the Swiss exchange this year and has already been an ETF issuer on the Swiss exchange since 2018, with 23 ETFs currently listed.

Massive growth in crypto products
Christian Reuss, Head SIX Swiss Exchange, notes that its trading infrastructure and clear framework for crypto underlyings are key reasons why clients are increasingly turning to them for listing and trading crypto products. SIX Swiss Exchange very much welcomes Fidelity Exchange Traded Products as one of its ETP issuers and continues to expand its product range.
The wide variety of tradable crypto products is appealing to investors, according to SIX. Trading turnover reached CHF 8.6 billion in 2021, an increase of 673% compared to the previous year (CHF 1.1 billion). The number of transactions also increased more than sixfold: A total of 354,542 trades were made in crypto products, an increase of 634% compared to 2020 (48,300).
