Our corrections policy
Accurate reporting is central to our work. Nevertheless, the editorial team also makes mistakes. This page describes how Crypto Valley Journal corrects errors and how you can report corrections.
When we correct
We issue corrections in the following cases:
- Factual errors: incorrect figures, names, dates, quotes or source citations.
- Misleading wording that leads to a false understanding.
- Outdated information on topics with active developments, provided the article remains relevant.
- Simple typographical errors are fixed silently without separate notice.
How we correct
Factual corrections appear visibly at the end of the article with a date stamp. We use the following format:
«Correction dated DD.MM.YYYY: Originally X, correct is Y. We thank you for the notification.»
For serious errors, we also add a notice at the top of the article. Corrected articles remain accessible under the same URL. Articles published entirely in error are withdrawn, and the content at the original URL is replaced with a corresponding notice.
How to report errors
Please send correction notices by email to press@cvj.ch with the subject «Correction» and the article URL. Alternatively, you can reach us through the form at /contact/.
Please include the following information:
- URL of the article concerned.
- The specific passage in the text.
- The information you consider correct.
- If possible, a verifiable source.
You will receive a reply within 48 hours on business days.
What you can expect from us
We review every report. Where a correction is justified, we update the article promptly and label the change transparently. If we decline a correction, we explain the reasons in a comprehensible manner. A correction is never made without prior verification of the factual situation.
Serious corrections and complaints
If you suspect a serious breach of journalistic duty of care, please contact us directly at press@cvj.ch. If no agreement is reached, the Swiss Press Council is available to you as an independent complaints body (presserat.ch).
Our procedure follows the Swiss Press Code, in particular Clause 5 (duty of rectification) and Clause 11 (duty to correct false reports). The editorial guidelines and the imprint supplement this policy.
Recent major corrections
Where required, we publish an overview of recent corrections here. There are currently no entries.
