    Editorial guidelines

The Crypto Valley Journal (CVJ.CH) has reported on the Swiss and international crypto and blockchain economy since 2018. The publisher is CV Publishing AG, based in Zug. The following guidelines set out how the editorial team works, against which standards it measures itself, and how it secures independence, diligence and transparency in daily practice.

They apply as binding rules to all editorial content on CVJ.CH, from news and analyses to market commentary, interviews and background reports. In addition, they serve as orientation for guest authors, whose contributions the editorial team reviews before publication.

    Independence

CVJ.CH reports with editorial independence. Advertising clients, sponsors, cooperation partners and investors have no influence on the choice of topics, the research or the presentation in editorial articles. In addition, CVJ keeps the editorial team clearly separated from the commercial area in both organisational and procedural terms. Decisions about content are made exclusively by the editorial team.

The ownership structure and sources of funding of CVJ.CH are disclosed on the Ownership and Funding page.

    Source principles

The editorial team relies primarily on primary sources. These include regulatory filings (for example from the SEC, FINMA or ESMA), official communications from authorities and central banks, corporate releases, court documents and verifiable on-chain data. Where primary sources are not directly accessible, the editorial team draws on established secondary sources, among them Bloomberg, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, CoinDesk and Cointelegraph.

For contested or consequential claims, CVJ requires multiple verification through at least two independent sources. Anonymous sources are only used when a named attribution is not possible and the information has been verified internally. Sources used are visibly linked in the article, so that readers can trace the statements.

    Fact-checking

Every article passes through a multi-stage process of research, writing and editorial review. Numbers, data, quotes and proper names are checked by the editorial team against the original sources. In addition, the team verifies time references, regulatory designations and technical details before publication.

If an item of information cannot be sufficiently substantiated, CVJ refrains from publication or explicitly marks the statement as unconfirmed. Later clarifications are added transparently to the article. For developing matters, such as ongoing investigations, hacks or market events, CVJ marks the respective state of information and updates the article as soon as confirmed findings are available.

    Separation of editorial and advertising

Promotional content on CVJ.CH is clearly labelled as such, both visually and in language. Sponsored Content, paid contributions and partner formats carry a corresponding label and are kept separate from the editorial offering. Affiliate-Links are also disclosed wherever they are used.

Details on advertising formats, partnerships and revenue sources can be found on the Ownership and Funding page.

No investment advice, no price forecasts

CVJ.CH does not publish personalised investment recommendations. Market analyses, contextualisations and commentary serve informational purposes and do not constitute investment, legal or tax advice. In addition, the editorial team refrains from concrete price forecasts. It neither formulates its own price targets, nor does it adopt such targets from third-party sources without critical contextualisation.

Readers bear sole responsibility for their investment decisions and should, where appropriate, discuss them with qualified advisors.

    Conflicts of interest

Authors of CVJ.CH may be invested in cryptocurrencies, tokens or stocks that they cover. Relevant positions that could give rise to a conflict of interest are disclosed in the respective article. Beyond this, a clear prohibition applies to all contributors: trading on the basis of non-public information from editorial work is not permitted. Likewise, coordinated purchases or sales around planned publications are inadmissible.

    AI usage

Research and wording are partly AI-supported. However, responsibility for topic selection, fact-checking and final approval lies exclusively with the editorial team. A detailed explanation of the approach can be found on the AI Transparency page.

    Corrections

CVJ corrects errors transparently. Substantive content adjustments are visibly marked in the article and documented in a separate overview. The editorial team accepts notices of possible errors at any time via the contact page. Further information is available on the Corrections page.

    Press Code

CVJ.CH aligns its work with the Swiss Press Code, the «Declaration of the Duties and Rights of Journalists» of the Swiss Press Council. From this derive in particular the duty to seek the truth, respect for privacy, the separation of facts and commentary, and the careful handling of sources.

Complaints regarding the editorial work of CVJ.CH can be addressed to the Swiss Press Council (presserat.ch). Suggestions, notices and direct feedback reach the editorial team via the contact page. The legally responsible publisher is identified in the imprint.
